What does S.I.S.T.A.s stand for?
S.I.S.T.A.s stands for Sisters in Speech Therapy and Audiology.
What is S.I.S.T.A.s?
S.I.S.T.A.s is a community comprised of minority women who are studying or currently working in the field of Speech Pathology or Audiology.
Can men join?
S.I.S.T.A.s is an organization for minority women only!
Is this organization just for African American women?
No. Currently, minorities (i.e. African American, Hispanic, Asian, etc.) make up less than 20% of the speech language pathologists and audiologists currently holding membership in the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). S.I.S.T.A.s was formed to address this disparity and offers a new approach to recruiting and retaining minority women.
Can I attend workshops or events sponsored by S.I.S.T.A.s?
Yes! We will be hosting many informative workshops and events based on topics relevant to SLPs and Audiologists that will be open to the public. Check out our website often and LIKE us on Facebook (SISTAs, Inc.) to see all of awesome things we have going on in the SISTAhood!
If I order a t-shirt from the SISTA Shop, how long will it take to arrive to me?
Please allow 2 weeks for delivery of any products ordered from the SISTA Shop.
How are orders shipped?
All products are shipped via the United States Postal Service.
Can I donate now to S.I.S.T.A.s or become a sponsor?
Absolutely! If you agree with our mission and would like to help support our initiatives and the growth of our SISTAhood, you may go to our Programs page to donate. We will gladly accept donations of any amount. Your generosity will support our SISTA Academy and Big SISTAs/Little SISTAs programs. Thank you in advance for your kindness!

Yes. Sisters in Speech Therapy and Audiology (S.I.S.T.A.s) is a 501c3 organization.
